How to fix a house cleaning problem
A new house cleaning issue is spreading across the U.S. with more than 100 homes in danger of being declared unlivable, according to the National Association of Home Builders.
The NHA says the problem began Friday morning when a homeowner in Ohio noticed his house was leaking water in the basement.
He called the National Weather Service and reported it, triggering an alert.
The problem wasn’t just a problem in Ohio.
NHA said the problem was spreading across many states.
“It’s now affecting about 100 homes and it’s affecting many communities,” said NHA president Tom Beall.NHA is working with states to help find solutions, including installing new sprinkler heads and replacing old ones, and it also has a website where homeowners can report issues.NHE has sent out a call for information to homeowners to help locate a homeowner who may be at risk.
